I'm ARMY! Not the military kind, but a huge fan of the globally famous Korean music group, BTS. If you haven't heard of them before, you definitely have now. Go look them up!
Despite being in Korea for a long time, my Korean is still a work in progress. I really should study harder....
It's common knowledge that the British loves tea BUT I'm all about the coffee! I just can't live without my morning coffee. Can you relate?
I briefly worked at a broadcasting station for BBC's Crime Watch. Video production and broadcasting had been my passion, and it was a career path I had considered pursuing in my younger days. However, life had other plans!
I've never learned to drive! Growing up in London, I never felt the need to learn with the city's extensive public transport system. Even now, living in Korea where public transportation is cheap and easily accessible, I've yet to acquire this skill!
Hi, I’m Leanne. My story begins with my parents, who are of Vietnamese-Chinese descent. They fled Vietnam in 1978 as part of the Vietnamese boat people, seeking refuge after the war. I was born shortly after they arrived in Hong Kong, and a few years later, we settled in London UK, where I spent over 30 years of my life.
In 2010, life took me on an unexpected journey to South Korea. After a visit in 2009, I was captivated by the beauty and culture of the country and decided to return as an English teacher. What was meant to be a short adventure turned into something more permanent. Now, I live here with my husband and daughter, finding joy in exploring as a family.
Travel has always been my passion. In my younger years, I saved every penny to explore the world, and while life looks a bit different now, my love for discovering new places remains the same. Today, it's all about creating meaningful experiences—whether it’s a family weekend getaway or helping others explore the rich traditions and hidden gems of South Korea and Asia. I’m excited to share that passion with you and help craft your own unforgettable journey.
