Hi, I’m Leanne. My story begins with my parents, who are ethnically Chinese but were born and raised in Vietnam. In 1978, they fled as part of the Vietnamese boat people, seeking refuge after the war. A year after they arrived in Hong Kong, I was born. Not long after, we settled in London, UK, where I spent over 30 years of my life.
In 2010, life took me on a journey to South Korea. After a visit in 2009, I was captivated by the beauty and culture of the country and decided to return as an English teacher. What was meant to be a short adventure turned into something more permanent. Now, I live here with my husband and daughter, finding joy in exploring as a family.
Travel has always been my passion. In my younger years, I saved every penny to explore the world, and whilst life looks a bit different now, my love for discovering new places remains the same. Today, it's all about creating meaningful experiences, whether it’s a family weekend getaway or helping others explore the rich traditions and hidden gems of South Korea and Asia. I’m excited to share that passion with you and help craft your own unforgettable trip.
I'm ARMY! Not the military kind, but a huge fan of the globally famous Korean music group, BTS. If you haven't heard of them before, you definitely have now. Go look them up!
Despite being in Korea for a long time, my Korean is still a work in progress. I really should study harder....
It’s often said that the British love their tea; I’m all about the coffee. I simply can’t start my day without my morning brew. Can you relate?
I briefly worked at a broadcasting station for BBC’s Crimewatch. I studied film and broadcasting at university and always imagined myself working behind the scenes, helping bring stories to life. Although I didn’t pursue it as a full-time career, some days I still wonder what it would’ve been like to stay in the world of production.
I've never learned to drive! Growing up in London, I never felt the need to learn with the city's extensive public transport system. Even now, living in Korea where public transportation is cheap and easily accessible, I've yet to acquire this skill!
