Hi, I’m Leanne. My story begins with my parents, who are ethnically Chinese but were born and raised in Vietnam. In 1978, they fled as part of the Vietnamese boat people, seeking refuge after the war. A year after they arrived in Hong Kong, I was born. A couple of years later, we settled in London, UK, where I spent over 30 years of my life.
In 2010, life took me on an unexpected journey to South Korea. After a visit in 2009, I was captivated by the beauty and culture of the country and decided to return as an English teacher. What was meant to be a short adventure turned into something more permanent. Now, I live here with my husband and daughter, finding joy in exploring as a family.
